Vermeer Corporation, a leading manufacturer of wood and organic waste grinding machinery such as tub grinders, horizontal grinders and chippers, announced earlier this month its expansion of the electric-powered horizontal grinder line with the introduction of the HG4000E. This grinder will allow wood waste processors to process their organic materials in a cleaner and more cost-effective matter.
This new horizontal grinder provides a variety of benefits over older models. The exclusive SmartGrind system stops and reverses material being fed into the hammermill if the motor amperage exceeds a set value. The feed roller and feed table can pull material into or reverse it away from the grinding chamber and can also operate independently of one another. The grinding chamber is equipped with top loading screens providing easy change and maintenance as well as easy access for anvil maintenance.
