Telescopic forklifts, such as the Gradall Model 534D-9-45 Telescopic Forklift, have the lifting and transporting capabilities of a standard forklift, with the added reach benefits of a crane. They are most commonly used to transport material to and from places that are unreachable by a standard forklift. These forklifts have the ability of transporting material directly from a trailer or other holding area to high reach places such as rooftops. Without the use of a telescoping forklift, material would first need to be unloaded with a conventional forklift and then transported with a crane or other bucket lift, adding time and decreasing efficiency of the process.
