Company Expansion- Reconditioning Facilities and Office Building

Since our last update, the office expansion has been fully completed and all employees have moved into their new spaces. Once the outer facade was finished, the inside same together pretty quickly. Windows that previously overlooked the back lot now looked into the new space, so they were knocked out and covered with drywall. An entryway was cut connecting the existing building to the new space. The lighting and lighting fixtures were installed, followed by the walls being painted and finally the carpet being laid. This 60′ x 30′ addition to the building became the sales area, with desks for all our our sales team, individual offices for our engineer, senior marketing specialist and company president, plus room for growth. The area also has a large conference room equipped with new computer, HD television monitor and state of the art conference call phone system with speakers.

Once the structural work was finished, the office furniture was delivered and put together, including desks, filing drawers and bookcases for each member of the sales team; desks, shelves and filing systems for each of the three private offices in the space; small meeting tables; chairs and a large meeting table for the new conference room. Once the final decorative touches such as blinds, plants and pictures for the wall were put in, the new space was up and running. The entire sales staff was fully moved and settled into their new area by the end of May.

With the Sales Department moving to the back area of the building, the IT Department moved from a small office to the large space previously used by Sales. In the transition period between Sales leaving the area and IT moving in, the walls were painted, light fixtures were cleaned and replaced and the carpet was cleaned. New desks, bookcases, chairs and filing drawers were delivered and assembled for each member of the IT department, as well as two new shelving units used to store cameras and camera equipment, video recorders and computer equipment. This left space in the former IT office for the Purchasing Department to move into, which allowed the wall between the former Purchasing Department Office and the Accounting Office to be torn down, creating one large Accounting Department Office. Our head of HR was also moved into a larger office that was previously occupied by the senior marketing specialist.

With almost the entire office staff either moving into a new space or gaining more space in their area when others moved out, this gave everyone a lot more space to work in. These changes allowed everyone to tailor their workspace to their specific needs, such as getting larger desks, additional computer monitors and new filing or organizational systems where needed, increasing employee productivity and efficiency. With everything and everyone fully settled for the past month and a half, things have been running smoothly and everyone has been happy with the change. The large expansion also left spaces for future employees as the company continues to grow and prosper.
